Fine Art Photography of Alaska
Greetings from Alaska, the Last Frontier. I am a professional freelance photographer who moved here in 2006 to photograph the beauty of this amazing landscape. While most of my images are stock accumulated over twenty years, I recently have begun to specialize in fine art landscapes, particularly black and whites, abstracts, and panoramas. My images were chosen for North America Nature Photography Association’s (NANPA) Expressions 2007 Journal, and were on display in NANPA’s 2007 Fine Art Exhibit (juried). I have also displayed at the Alaska Society of Outdoor and Nature Photographers’ juried alaskaWILD 2008 exhibit. Corporate clients for my fine art include Providence Hospital and Willow Medical in Anchorage, Alaska and Ashland Chemical in Delaware.
I am the owner of Wilderness Visions, Inc. started in 2000 to market my stock images. My stock photography consists of landscapes, outdoor life, wildflowers, and wildlife and is represented by Alamy, Alaska Stock Images and is also available on-line from archives with Photoshelter. My photos have been published in books, calendars, catalogs, greeting cards, magazines, newspapers, online publications, and websites including Stern Magazine (Germany), Greatland Graphics (calendars), Nature Photographer Magazine, The Best of Nature Photography (book), Nature Photographers Online Magazine (three featured articles), Alaska Forum (website), Delaware Beach Life Magazine, and National Environmental Trust.
My website includes essays on photography instruction, natural history, and trip reports. Starting this spring, I will begin teaching photography fundamentals in two-day seminars offered by fotoscool.ca.
