I have been shooting some pictures for the John Muir Trust, a wild land environmental charity that owns some of the most dramatic, atmospheric and wild terrain in Scotland, including Ben Nevis, the Isle of Skye and iconic locations in the far north west and the Hebrides. I get to most of these locations on foot, by bike or by sea kayaking and camping.
I have done a lot of editorial and corporate photography, but now I mostly teach and shoot landscapes. I teach at a college and for Stills, Scotland’s centre for photography in Edinburgh. This city is one of the most beautiful in the world, and looks even better in wind, rain, snow or mist, which is fortunate, because we get a lot of weather.
