From fuzzy little while balls of cottony feathers to fully fledged precocious adolescents, our blog tells a short story of a family of Red-tailed Hawks. These three siblings are the offspring of a pair of hawks who have nested in this same nest for several years. One year previously, all three babies died after a severe hail storm hit the area and another year, close to fledging, the nestlings all died from an apparent poisoning of prey brought to the nest. This year, was a great one. It was a joy to watch and photograph them as they grew towards adulthood thanks to their dedicated parents.
