Great shot!

This beauty is actually an immature grackle – they have dark eyes and brown bodies, while the adult females have bright yellow eyes, glossy blue-black heads, and a brownish body that boasts a bit of the iridescent sheen that the males have.

It was sitting there, all I had to do was get low enough to get the sky in the background. I laid on my stomach and rested my camera on the ice. I used LiveView since it was so difficult to look through the viewfinder in that position.

Thanks very much for your kind words and taking the time to comment! Yes, as with most wildlife it does take time and patience to catch those special moments but when you’re in nature anywhere be it a rainforest or desert there’s so much to absorb, time flies. If you get the chance though, visit a rain forest. They are fascinating places and so worth preserving.

Yes that is in fact that is the look I’m going for. It’s my “style” if you will.

There are plenty of other photographers out there making more down to earth pictures.
I wanted to do something different to stand out.
If clients are after the more down to earth look, there are plenty of great photographers to choose from. If they’re looking for something a little more edgy and different than the idea is that the pool is much smaller and consideration of my services are inquired more often. It’s not for everyone but the people that like it really love it.

or search on google, but basically is the fact of jumping with a small parachute from any base, even monuments, like the Christ in Rio!
