Walking alone

An elephant walks alone. It walks with gradual, grand purpose. It walks against a backdrop of stunning reds and other colors associated with the final moments of sunset. Perhaps, this elephant is walking because the late hour is drawing near. In hardly any time at all, the sky will pass into twilight. Will be the elephant get to where it is going before then? Or will it have to continue its long, weary journey under a blanket of stars. This stunning acryl on canvas piece is available as wall art, on t-shirts, or as a wide range of interior décor products. Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) flying over sunlit waterIt’s autumn in Sweden and a hazel grouse (Tetrastes bonasia) is balancing carefully over very thin twigs of a speckled alder tree (Alnus incana) to pick seeds. The colors and pattern of the bird’s plumage blend in with the pattern of twigs and bark.
The grouse was so immersed in its food search that it barely recognized my presence.
