Birds searching for a resting place at sunset

On an autumn evening near a lake that is a favorite resting place for migrating birds we saw this flock of songbirds searching for a resting place for the night . They sat on a telephone line, then they suddenly flew up and away. The cables were vibrating a while, then the birds came back and sat down on the line again. After squabbling with each another they rose again, flew around the lake and came back.
