Male Common Eider flapping
Male Common Eiders are uncommonly handsome. The female and male are just so diverse that I probably have seen a female without realizing it. The female Common Eider is brown and black but with the same sloped forehead as the male. This flapping male made quite a spectacle with water splashing everywhere from this big heavy duck.
