Wildlife & Landscape Photography by Anette Mossbacher • Fine Art Photography

Anette Mossbacher

Having a deep interest in the natural world, I have dedicated my life’s work to be a photographer. Indeed, I am a wildlife, landscape, and nature photographer. Wildlife and landscapes inspire and excite me. As such, I have had great opportunities to travel to almost every continent on the planet. That gives me the burning passion for capturing unique moments in nature.

Challenges for me are a source of motivation. My background in sports has played a significant role in giving me the drive to do what I do. Undoubtedly, it has given me the ability to keep a positive mindset and stay focused while out in the field.

Getting that one unique photograph takes effort and time. To fully understand the challenges that await a wildlife photographer, you have to be out in nature. You have to know the freezing Arctic or the burning desert. My experiences have taught me the importance of dedication and commitment – also hard work, and most of all – patience. You must become one with nature and wait for the perfect moment. Be still, be quiet, and Mother Earth will reward your patience.

Sandra Calderbank

For Sandra Calderbank—a photographer whose primary subject is birds—patience, stealth, and deep observation are as crucial to her work as her camera and lenses. These are the skills that have allowed her, time and again over the course of more than two decades, to successfully achieve her main goal of capturing the essence of birds’ lives. Spanning a near-encyclopedic variety of species from around the United States, her body of work adds depth and breadth to its viewers’ understanding and appreciation of these fascinating, beautiful creatures.

Mixing action shots—birds in flight, hunting, feeding, etc.—with portraits, the rich variety of her work within this specialized subject is evident; and hints at the distinct techniques necessary to realize the different types of pictures. Some of the action shots, like one of a bald eagle chasing an osprey over water—with the two birds beside each other, every wing, feather, and talon absolutely clear and seemingly in perfect alignment—are feats of serendipity; but also illustrate the veteran bird photographer’s well-honed instincts and technical prowess.

The portraits, on the other hand—genuinely intimate and revealing as they are—oftentimes stem from hours of quiet persistence, with Sandra ensconced in a blind, out in the wild; waiting, watching, and composing the perfect shot in her mind.

“Technically, it’s really challenging and takes a lot of practice to photograph birds,” she says. “Also, with the portraits especially, you have to study the different birds’ behavior and observe them closely, to learn, for example, what they eat and where they like to perch. That makes them less unpredictable, which naturally increases the chances of getting the shot I want.”

Sandra travels to wildlife refuges around the country, spending a lot of time walking, waiting, and watching; not unlike a hunter, stalking her prey and orchestrating the precise shot, with a successful capture of the image bringing cathartic pleasure. (In her case, though, the target always escapes unharmed.)

Sandra grew up in rural North Carolina and has always found solace in nature, which for her is synonymous with the miracle of life and the bounty of creation. In effect, her photography is an extension of the lifelong joy she has always found in solitary communion with “the great outdoors”; as well as a means to a greater understanding of and a deeper immersion in the wonders of nature (which, by dint of her many striking pictures, can be pretty contagious).

Wildlife, Landscape, and Nature Photographer

Anette Mossbacher

My name is Anette Mossbacher, and I am a photographer with a deep-seated interest in the natural world.

It has been my life’s work to photograph wildlife species, and majestic landscapes, on virtually every continent of the Earth.
Some of my favorite memories include photographing the orangutan in the verdant rainforests, capturing images of lions and majestic elephants proudly strolling the African savannah, and getting up close and personal with polar bears in the Arctic Sea. I have traveled extensively in pursuit of these unique animal encounters and awe-inspiring natural scenery.

I am a full-time nature photographer, and I’m thrilled to share my photographic work with those that love nature as much as I do. This is especially true of those enthusiasts who have an interest in sharing my experiences – through a range of fine art photography, photo prints and stock photography images.
A vast array of my work is available to you on my website.

My experiences have taught me the importance of commitment, hard work, dedication, ambition, and most importantly – patience.
These skills and attributes are vastly important in my work as a wildlife, landscape and nature photographer. When one becomes a professional wildlife, landscape and nature photographer – harsh conditions and hostile environments are part of the job.

My background in sports plays an influential role in my ability to maintain a positive mindset and stay focused while out in the field. I like to think of challenges as a source of motivation rather than an obstacle.

I undertake a diverse range of projects including commissions and photographic assignments. My clients include individuals, corporations, small businesses, and publications from all over the world.
I offer my work as collectible fine art photography
My photographs are available for immediate download including; stock photos, landscape and wildlife photography prints, as well as art prints for the home and office. I also sell exclusive collectible prints, which are numbered and limited and available to view in my limited-edition collections.

Photography by Birdie Breeze

Birdie Breeze began her career as a child model and musician. As a teen, she moved into film projection, concert and television production. Her mother was an award-winning photographer for her B&W abstracts while music ran on her father’s side of the family. Later, Birdie worked for the heads of movie studios and also at motion picture film labs, where she focused on color timing and film processing techniques. Her early career in TV helped her adapt to digital photography, quickly.

While out-of-work on an injury, she took up photography. Birdie is self-taught, but her other careers have seriously contributed to her ‘eye’, as has her natural musical ear. She likes to say that her eye follows her ears.

The underground art and music worlds of Los Angeles – featuring Lucent Dossier Experience, The Hotel Café, and The Do LaB became her extended family and they provided artists and events that allowed her to grow into a professional fine art and performance photographer.

David Burge Photography

A Different View

David1In 2007 I emerged from an induced coma in hospital to learn I had been asleep for seven weeks. Without boring you with the details, I found I could look at things and see beauty in what I used to take for granted. I had always been a keen photographer but decided to take the leap and study the art of professional photography. This filled in many of the gaps in my knowledge and gave me the confidence to work full time as a professional.

The shot of the office building is one of the first photographs taken with my newly acquired Canon 5D MkII. The polarising filter made the shot possible with sun glaring off the building. However, security guards soon moved me on as I was in the heart of London’s financial centre, Canary Wharf.

I find that promoting myself is the hardest part of being a professional and therefore I really appreciate sites like Photographers Selection helping me to put my work in front of many potential clients as possible.

Thank you for your time.

FXEGS_galleryPhotographer sited in Madrid (Spain). I’m also philosopher and anthropologist. My primal interest is the human cultures, those customs and habits of the peoples in the world, with their resemblances and differences (and the understanding and disputes of them). But as well the Human Culture, the common features.

I work with several important imagery banks (stock agencies) and offer my services to do personal books or eventual assignments.

I’m experienced in postedition, but in order to achieve the highest quality I try to do my best in shooting, and to focus postedition on minor (but important) improvements.

I present here some samples from different models sessions. I can shoot model sessions at Madrid area or in other areas with charge.

Bente Haarstad
I am based in Norway, and northern Scandinavia give so many opportunities to
experience vast areas of unspoilt nature, the cultural heritage and the tough people who live here. I also enjoy urban life, art and culture, and I
also travel. But I happen to find a lot of exciting news and reportage in my immediate environment.
My interest for photography have more or less always been there, but I am
also a journalist. A journalist that focus even more on photography than
before.
