Make America Great Again

MAGA is the hollow refrain of people who do not understand the dire situation we find ourselves in. As we continue to obsess and dedicate our money and attention to the military industrial complex, climate change wreaks havoc across the globe. Suffice to say that if we don’t do something about this situation soon, the idea of the State of Liberty under water isn’t going to be so fantastical. The time to act is now. This stirring piece makes an emotional plea to take climate change seriously. Are you going to be someone who is up to the challenge of making America great again? (Jan Keteleer)

Freedom gulls

This scene comes to us from out of the past. Judging by the car and plane depicted in this scene, we can guess that this piece is set in the 1950s. The car is a classic now, but it was once the newest, hottest thing on the road. Its iconic design transports us back to this era with ease. Behind the classic car, we can see an airplane with its massive propellers. The American flag is brilliantly displayed along the side of the plane. It seems likely that this plane has experienced some pretty amazing adventures. Gulls fly alongside the plane. It is a beautiful day. (Jan Keteleer)

The first Vought F4U Corsair was delivered to the U.S. Navy in 1940 but due to landing performance issues it became a land based fighter bomber for the U.S. Marines. Known as "whistling death" by the Japanese the aircraft served with distinction in both World War II in the Pacific Theater and during the Korean conflict. In total there were 12,571 F4U Corsairs were manufactured between 1942 and 1953.
